Sydney Mitchell – Corresponding Secretary

1. Why are you running for this position?

I want to help make the school a better place. Joining Student Council has been the best decision for me and I want to play a bigger role in it.

2. What qualities do you have that make you stand out compared to other candidates?

I am likable, responsible, and hard-working. People feel comfortable around me which makes me a great candidate. People can also rely on me to get things done and I complete the tasks to the best of my ability.

3. What do you believe makes you a great student leader?

I am very open minded and aside from being in Student Council, I am also in African American Culture Club, GSA, Women’s Forum, Peer Outreach, and Asian American Club.

4. If you win, what do you want your legacy to be at Township?

I want people to look back and think how helpful, easy going, and trustworthy I was. Even after I graduate, I want people to remember what a positive influence I was.

5. Who has provided the most positive influence on your development as a leader?

Ms. Mason has had the most positive influence on me because she always pushes me to be the best that I can be. Every time I think of a good leader I think of Ms. Mason and I want to have that impact on others.
