Gaining Confidence

In her novels, she creates a diversity of characters that face so many different problems, and the inspiration for those characters come from her own experiences and her own personality. She’s a New York Times Bestselling author that is strong and confident. The type of confidence that she exhibits can be inspirational to all, and can show people that they should not be afraid to be themselves.

Maggie Stiefvater is the author of the Shiver trilogy, the Raven Cycle, and the Scorpio Races. On her website, Stiefvater reveals that while growing up she was the type of girl that was tomboyish and outspoken. She was comfortable being one person in a big group of different people. Most of all, she was never one to hide and shy away from things.

“Humans were so circular; they lived the same slow cycles of joy and misery over and over, never learning. Every lesson in the universe had to be taught billions of times, and it never stuck.” Maggie Stiefvater, the Raven Cycle.

Confident and free speaking people are not easy to find these days. With people hiding behind phones and computers it is easy for someone to reach through the screen and take some of that confidence by bullying others. On her website, Stiefvater reveals she is someone who is not afraid to show up to any type of a job or responsibility and be herself.

There should be more people like that in life. Whether it is standing up for what is right or just being a leader, people should feel confident in themselves. They should realize that every single person is fallible and that there is nothing to be afraid or embarrassed of. People may be surprised to discover what a little bit a confidence can do to change things.
