Magical hit returns
In 2013, the magical blockbuster, Now You See Me, was released to movie goers everywhere. In 2016, the mystifying movie returned with its sequel, Now You See Me 2. With the first movie ending in a spell bounding twist, fans all around the world could expect another hit.
The movie series mainly centers around five magicians who try their best to defeat people who unfairly take from others while trying to evade the law. They call themselves the Four Horseman, with the fifth magician being an FBI agent (actor) who investigates the Four Horseman while working alongside them.
In Now You See Me 2, the Four Horseman are called on once again to expose a company for its underhanded practices. This time, though, the Four Horseman fall into a trap rather than snaring someone. They are then taken on an unexpected journey that changes the way they view the magical world.
With old characters returning and new ones emerging, the movie is definitely filled with a lot of twists and turns. Along with magic and tricks, there are many more aspects to the movie.
A positive to the second movie, is that it focuses more on the horseman and the internal struggles within the group than the first movie. Viewers get a more in-depth look into the inner workings of the organization that the Four Horseman work for, The Eye. While also revealing a closer look into the lives of the main characters and their backgrounds.
Throughout the first movie, the audience was able to root more for the side that was against the Four Horseman. This time around, the movie took a turn and showed the audience that the Four Horseman were the good guys and are worth standing behind.
Besides delving into the characters, Now You See Me 2 also displays lessons that all people can learn from. Throughout the movie, people can learn that they need to have patience and that good things will come in time. This is one of the major themes throughout the second movie that are reinforced through various scenes.
Now You See Me 2 is full of spell bounding scenes that will capture audiences of all ages. And with a third movie in the works, with no set release date yet, it is definitely worth giving the first and second movie a try.
