What is the charity you chose to represent?

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Child Abuse Program. Every kid deserves to have a childhood full of love and opportunity. Unfortunately, child abuse is an issue that affects millions every year. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Child Abuse Program provides care and protection for kids who are victims of abuse. I chose this organization because it does real good for kids in our local community.

Why do you best represent Washington Township?

I am extremely involved not only within in the school but the community as well.

If you could pick anyone besides yourself to win, who would it be?

I would pick the wonderful Charley Moule. Charley is an amazing representation of our school and community. She embodies all of the traits it takes to be great leader, peer, and all-around great person. Charley puts her whole heart into everything she does. Her presence lights up a room and she can never fail to put a smile on my face. Everyone needs a Charley in their life.

Favorite food:

Sushi

Favorite movie:

Captain American The First Avenger. I love Chris Evans.

Favorite music artist:

Carrie Underwood. Her voice is unreal.

What TV show/movie character are you most like?

Hannah Montana and Miley Steward. Me and Hannah share the traits of outgoing, friendly, and very talkative. And we both have the Best of Both Worlds.

What is your go-to Wawa order?

An Italian hoagie with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Also, the occasional mozzarella sticks and always an XL cup of ice water.

What has been your most embarrassing moment at WTHS?

Trying to start a chant at a football game and no one joined. The crowd then proceeded to go dead silent.

What has been one of the most memorable aspects of your high school experience?

Being voted Student Council President. Being elected president has given me the opportunity to be a voice for my classmates and peers and make everyone’s high school career the best it can be.

If you could change one thing about the world you live in, what would it be?

The lack of empathy. Empathy is something the world could use much more of. It would allow us all to be more accepting of one another and live in a much kinder world overall.

What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?

Get involved immediately. Being involved has made my high school experience much richer and memorable. You meet so many new people along with memories that last a lifetime. And always carry an emergency 20-dollar bill. It will save your life multiple times.

What are your plans and goals for after high school?

To attend college as an education major and become a teacher or guidance counselor.

What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?

Mrs. Mason has had the biggest impact on my high school career. There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for all of the valuable things she has taught me both inside the classroom and out. She constantly pushes me to be the best I can be. Mason inspires me each and every day to push the boundaries and never settle for less.

Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?

My mom. She has taught be to be a strong independent woman and to never let anything ever define me. The way my mom raised me has made me the person that I am today, so if I were to say she didn’t impact my life I would be lying.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My family. They are my biggest support system, and I can rely on them for absolutely anything. Oh, and Starbucks.

If you had to give a 20-minute presentation on a topic of your choosing, what would it be?

Why country music is superior to any other genre. Despite popular belief the entire of the genre does not revolve around farming and trucks.

What has been the best part about being on the Homecoming Court?

All of the new friendships. It is such a great court; it has been amazing getting to know all of the candidates and being able to share this experience with them.
