What is the charity you chose to represent?

Bayada Home Health Care because 5 years ago my grandfather was in very poor health. Bayada stepped in and provided him with excellent home health care. My family and I believe that because of this amazing service they provided, it extended his life by an extra two years. I am very thankful for everything they did to allow me to have these extra years with him. I want to donate my money to them; therefore, they can continue to provide this same service for many families.

Why do you best represent WTHS?

I am a very well-rounded individual. In the high school, I am a part of the dance company, Interact, National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. I also am a very driven student who has received straight A’s and honor roll throughout my entire academic career. I challenge myself in school by taking all honors and AP courses as well. I have lived in Washington Township my entire life and growing up I was involved in many activities. I played soccer, dance, lacrosse, and field hockey. Additionally, I am involved in the community and have participated in many community service projects through Interact, my church, and many charitable events.

What has been one of the most memorable aspects of your high school experience?

Although my only full year of high school was freshman year, due to COVID, I have still tried to make the most out of my high school experience. I am so happy to be back in school full time. Being nominated for homecoming court will definitely be one of my most memorable experiences.

What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?

I know everyone says it, but high school definitely goes by way faster than you think. Don’t take any moment for granted and make the most out of it. You should get involved and participate in as many activities as you can.

What are your plans and goals for after high school?

After high school I am hoping to pursue a career in physical therapy. I am still undecided about where I want to attend college, but I am looking into majoring in exercise science, kinesiology, or health sciences.

What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?

Mrs. Richardson. I have had Mrs. Rich since sophomore year for dance. She is someone who you can always count on and she cares about your feelings and opinions. Mrs. Rich has helped to make my high school experience as memorable as it was.

My family. My parents and sister have always taught me to dream big and I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. They are all great examples of determined and dedicated workers.

What did you learn from the pandemic?

I learned that your life could completely change at a moment’s notice, so appreciate everything you have no matter how small.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My family. They are my best friends and support me no matter what I do. They have helped me develop into the person I am today, and I will be forever grateful for them. I know no matter what they will always be by my side.
