Charlie Puth

Charlie Puth, a New Jersey native is taking the music world by storm, first discovered by Ellen DeGeneres on YouTube he is now climbing the charts quickly. With his breakout single, “See you again” featured Wiz Kahlifa, and was played countless times all across every radio station for months. It was in the latest installment of the Fast and Furious movies and gained even more popularity. He was invited onto SNL and the Billboard Music Awards to perform this song with Kahlifa. After that he had another hit with Meghan Trainor titled, “Marvin Gaye” that single also blew up and is still being played on radio stations every day. Recently, he released his first single by himself from his new album Nine Track Mind titled, “One Call Away” and to no surprise that single started to gain popularity shortly after its release. Now on Jan29 he released his full album.

The whole album is filled with fun, breezy, summer-like songs that anyone would enjoy listening to. The album includes his two prior hits “One Call Away” and “Marvin Gaye”. Track five “We Don’t Talk Anymore” features Selena Gomez, it’s a light and fun song about not talking to someone anymore like you used to and moving on. Both of their voices fit so perfectly together, this song is for anyone who is looking for a fun song to listen to. All of the songs are uplifting and upbeat. One track “Then There’s You” is about a girl who is so beautiful that everyone else in the room is so normal and “then there’s her” outshining everyone else. Another track “As you are” centers around doing anything for someone no matter their flaws, he’d take them “as they are”. His voice is also very unique compared to a lot of other artists out there, he has a very nice falsetto and his voice range is amazing. His songs are different from others too they all focus on having fun and being happy.

He is also touring for his album and is coming to the Theater of Living Arts on April 4. If he continues on this road of success he is sure to be around making more music for years.
