What is the charity you chose to represent?

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society because currently my cousin Cailin is battling stage two Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Cailin is a beautiful, strong, and independent young woman. I strive to have as much confidence as her and to be at least half of the woman that she is. Through this I want her to know that no matter how rough it gets, she will never fight alone. Also, by supporting this charity, it allows me to not only create awareness for my cousin but create awareness about Leukemia and Hodgkin’s lymphoma to raise money towards research and finding a cure.

Why do you best represent WTHS?

I am involved in many extracurricular activities, fundraisers, community clean-ups, and I strive to give back to the community whenever I can.

What is your favorite pick-up line?

Are you a parking ticket? Cause you’ve got “FINE” written all over you.

If you could pick anyone beside yourself to win, who would it be?

In all fairness every single one of these girls are special in their own way. I believe we are all winners.

What has been your most embarrassing moment at WTHS?

Spilling my whole cup of ice with water in Mr. Faust’s room and then slipping on the wet area.

What has been one of the most memorable aspects of your high school experience?

My freshman year because it was the only year that I fully completed a year in person at Washington Township High School. Freshman year was full of fun events and activities that I will always cherish.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

The way that I overthink many things.

If you could change one thing about the world you live in, what would it be?

I would change how negative many people are. When many people face challenges in this world, they start having a negative outlook on life. However, challenges are what make life interesting, and overcoming them is what makes life beautiful. I believe that you need to trust, believe, and have faith that everything you desire is coming to you. The universe is working to make it happen. Stay positive.

What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?

Throughout your time in high school you will experience many things, good and bad, many ups and many downs. I think it’s very important for you to realize that you never know what the person next to you in class or in the halls is going through. So, be kind and choose kindness. Kindness makes you the most beautiful person in the world no matter what you look like. So, gas your friends up. Gas up people in the hallways that you might not know. Make people feel good, it’s free!

What are your plans and goals for after high school?

To attend a college in Florida. I plan to major in dermatology and minor in health sciences.

What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?

Mrs. Richardson. Mrs. Rich is one of the most special people on this earth. Every day when I walk into class, I never feel like I want to go home. She is so welcoming and friendly to everyone. Mrs. Rich gives her students everything and more. She pushes me that even on my bad days, there will always be a better day ahead and that a bad day is just one day out of so many. If there is any teacher at WTHS that I would recommend it would be Mrs. Rich. Whether you have danced all your life or have never even pointed your toes. You need to take dance just to meet this incredible woman!

Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?

My grandfather Tom because he has shown me the importance in family. He has also taught me that life doesn’t give you the people you want. It gives you the people you need to help you, to hurt you, to love you, to leave you and to help you grow into the person that you’re meant to be.

What did you learn from the pandemic?

Family matters more than we ever realized.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My family. Over the past few years, I have realized that no matter what happens family will always be by your side.

What is something about you that most people do not know?

I played the violin up until I was in 8th grade.

Describe yourself in three words:

Hardworking, friendly, and outgoing.

If you could bring one person, thing, and appliance to a deserted island, what would it be?

If I could bring one person to a deserted island it would be my boyfriend Nic because I enjoy traveling with him, his company, and how adventurous he is. One thing that I would bring is my dog Chanel because I cannot live without her and the happiness she brings me. Lastly, the one appliance that I would bring to a deserted island is my phone because I enjoy capturing special moments, especially traveling. But also, because I am addicted to my phone.

What has been the best part about being on the Homecoming Court?

Getting to enjoy this special moment with these 12 beautiful girls. I love being able to create new bonds with some girls that I really have not had the chance to get to know well.

What animal do you most identify with?

A dog because they are loving, caring, and like to have fun.
