Mr. July, 2021 – Danny Chelston

What would be your advice to underclassmen concerning high school?

Do what makes you happy and don’t miss out on opportunities. You need to make new friends and can’t be scared of not “fitting in”. You don’t wanna look back and wish you did things differently.

If you could go back one year, what would you say to yourself pre-covid?

Take nothing for granted while I still had it. I wish I would’ve done even more while I was in Dallas two weeks prior to lock down and had more fun at my last practice of my season last year.

What’s your favorite pick-up line?

I’m not a photographer but I can picture us together.

What fictional character do you relate to the most

Stefan Salvatore.

What is your hidden talent?

My hidden talent is that feel like I am a good dancer.

How has the Mr. Washington Township nomination changed your (everyday) life?

The nomination has changed my life because I now know I need to be a very good example. I also feel that I am doing something good for my charity, South Jersey Storm’s special needs program.

How do you want to be remembered at WTHS?

I want to be remembered as someone that was very outgoing and didn’t care about what anyone thought.

What’s your favorite movie?

Aladdin. I love Disney and the music is really good.

What was your favorite quarantine activity?

Walking in the park with Ang Sav or Maria Aversa.

What quality about yourself do you love most?

I love how outgoing I am. I feel like I am confident in new situations and am someone that one can turn to, especially at cheer, if they are uncomfortable because they are new.

If you could live anywhere besides the US, where would it be?

I would live in the Bahamas. I go there every year and the weather is perfect for me. I also love the Atlantis and that would be somewhere I could go regularly.

What teacher/staff member at WTHS has had the most impact on your high school career?

I would have to say that Frau Graham has made the biggest impact on me. I had her for class but she was always there in a way a mother would be. I loved how real she was with me.

If you could bring three things with you to a deserted island, what would they be?

My phone, a charger, and deodorant.

What are your aspirations and plans for after graduation?

After graduation I aspire to continue coaching all-star cheer and attending a four year university to get my masters in business.

If you could create a class at WTHS what would it be?

A cheer class where students could tumble and stunt.

What’s your favorite animal?

A dog

What’s your favorite place to get food

Starbucks even though I just get drinks.

What is the number one thing you look for in a significant other?

Loyalty

What is your go-to wawa order?

A chicken sandwich

If you could trade places with someone for one day, who would it be?

I would trade places with Maria Aversa. She is very care free and knows how to not let things bother her so easily.

If you won a million dollars, what would you do?

I would buy myself a very nice house in Florida on the beach.
