What is the charity you chose to represent?

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because my father killed himself when I was ten years old. I want to be able to bring awareness to the topic because so many people feel alone in the world, and I feel like if we talk about this more it can prevent people from committing suicide. I also personally struggle with depression and anxiety and often times felt alone, but I realized that life is worth living. Suicide is preventable and there are better days ahead.

Why do you best represent WTHS?

I am not afraid to use my voice to advocate for what I believe in.

I can’t choose one, so calamari, Kraft mac and cheese, goldfish, and French toast.

My favorite movie is The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Post Malone

Crying over the death of fictional characters.

How have you gotten through quarantine and social distancing?

Probably tripping during Powderpuff and basically doing a flip in front of everyone…yeah.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I would change how insecure I can be because I wish I did not always think twice about everything I did.

What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?

These four years go by so fast. I know that is cliché, but it is true. I feel like it was just yesterday I was in sophomore year, so go to every game and every event (after COVID of course).

What are your plans and goals for after high school?

To go to either Immaculata, Boston University, or Rutgers New-Brunswick to study Criminal Justice/Criminology to become a forensic psychologist or civil rights lawyer.

What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?

Mrs. Petolicchio because she was always there for me to talk to and she held Group: Grief and Loss for students who lost a parent or sibling and that is where I met my best friends. That time away from class twice a month helped me get through the hard times of school.

Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?

My mom because she took over both the father and mother role after my dad died, and she is the strongest woman I know. She never let anyone’s negativity or rude comments about my family get to her.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My dog, Fenway. He is the only being in my life that doesn’t interrupt me when I am talking.

What is something about you that most people do not know?

Most people don’t know that I have been struggling with depression and anxiety for about 5 years now.
