Hershey Park Christmas review

Emily Faust '17

When we think of Hershey Park, we think of crazy rides, candy in every store, etc… When we think of Hershey Park, we most likely think of attending in the summer time, right? Have we ever thought about going during the Christmas season?

My family has, and we love it.

In my family especially, we love to pack up the car, bring along our friends, and take a trip to Hershey Park. Because my family loves Christmas more than any other holiday, we are always itching to expand our traditions in fun ways.

At Hershey Park during the holidays, lights are twinkling, people are cheerful, plus everyone and everything seems to be in a constant state of peace. The atmosphere is the best part about Hershey during Christmas time.

For those of you looking for a fun, family-friendly way to spend your holiday break, this is the place to do it; and for many reasons.

Tickets prices are fairly low, starting around 19 dollars per person. With these tickets you are free to ride all rides and explore of what the park has to offer. With the rides open all night, with relatively short waits for each one, you are free to take your time and enjoy. Other reasons include the easy ride to Hershey.

Exploring the area reveals an abundance of places outside of the park to find good meals, amazing light displays, and more. Visit the Hershey factory and buy some souvenirs in the gift shop or stroll down the main street area and listen to the Christmas music playing throughout the town.

The entire experience is something that I look forward to all year. I usually cannot wait to spend time with family and participate in holiday festivities at a place that truly makes sure that your time there is sweet.

Talking about my traditions at Hershey, we spend our time in the park itself, riding all rides we love. Next, we spend time strolling through the rest of the Hershey area, singing along to Christmas tunes and taking pictures in front of the many lights and displays.

I truly believe that Christmas is a time of pure happiness and cheer. Hershey Park knows just how to embody what the holidays are all about.

Next time you want your family to try something different during the break, take a drive to Hershey. It will definitely be worth every penny.
