Originating in Thailand, ice cream roll-ups have become the latest and newest craze in America. What could be so special about it if it’s just ice cream, you may ask?
These ice cream roll-ups are made by putting a custard liquid onto a cold plate which freezes it and it is then rolled up and squished into the bowls to be consumed. The customers can also have the option of adding toppings to their rolled up creation.
More than just a new tasty treat, these rolled creations of ice cream serve as a very popular and trending topic to post about on social media. Everyone loves seeing the different ways people make this ice cream, as well as the finished product. Another great part is that you can substitute ice cream for frozen yogurt and still have it turn out the same.
In my opinion I feel that ice cream roll ups are a great new spin on traditional ice cream! Not only does it give people a new and different way to enjoy a treat that they had enjoyed since they were a kid, or they simply just want to get in on it because of the social media craze. In a way this food brings people together by using the love for food and creativity to make something that can be appreciated by as large crowd.
The popularity of this product as well as the store locations have been increasing over time. These aesthetically pleasing ice cream creations are also fairly cheap. It’s easy to see why the lines at all of these locations are always out the front door!
These treats are also great because if you don’t feel like making the trip to a city like New York or Philadelphia to get some ice cream, then you can make it for yourself at home! With just a few ingredients you’ll have a chilly treat without having to leave your home.
All in all these treats are great in every aspect. They are visually appealing, they taste great, the public very much enjoys them as a whole, the price of them isn’t very expensive, and of course, you can make them at home in your own home! Everyone should go out and support these businesses or get in on the action and the craze around this roof, because you never know, you may find your new favorite snack.
