Fellowship of Christian Athletes

What’s new in our school this year? Well, for starters there is a new club called Fellowship of Christian Athletes. However, you do not have to be a Christian or an athlete to attend. It’s open to everyone and they meet every other Tuesday after school in A-32 at 2:20pm.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (F.C.A.) is similar to a youth group, it just so happens to be school based as well as student led.

Each meeting starts off with some music, snacks, and time to socialize with other members. Warm-up worksheets or activities are handed out and students are given time to complete said activity. The activities are the start up of the lesson.

The warm-ups begin the discussions and lead us into the topics. Each week is a new topic that relates The Bible to our lives and shows us how we can apply it as well.

Biblical stories are used as examples for how to address life’s issues and challenges. Different values are expressed in every story no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.

F.C.A focuses on different topics and uses stories and experiences to express God’s Word and His message. By doing so, this should help you in your walk with God or maybe even just get you started on your walk. F.C.A is open to anyone and everyone. Don’t let the fact that it is a school club prevent you from coming out!

As Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw of everything that hinders and run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
