All around the world people gather around their televisions to watch many different international events. On December 20^th it was the 64^th annual Miss Universe contest. There were females from every country in the world. This year the show ended a little differently. The participating females that represent each country walked out and the show was going great.

After all it was narrowed down to three possible Miss Universe winners. The last three were Miss U.S.A., Miss Colombia, and Miss Philippians. They answered questions and gave a quick speech and it was time for the judges to vote and choose.

After the judges voted it was time to announce the next Miss Universe. Miss U.S.A. was picked at second runner up. Now it was between Miss Colombia and Miss Philippians. You can tell by watching their facial expressions they were very nervous.

The host held the card and announced that Miss Universe was Miss Colombia. The crowd started cheering in excitement. The old Miss Universe crowned the new Miss Universe and it was her time to shine.

Moments later everything changed for Miss Colombia. Steve Harvey the host came back on stage and announced “I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines!”

Miss Philippines was Miss Universe 2015. The old Miss Universe, Miss Colombia had to come take the crown off the “new” Miss Universe, Miss Colombia and place it on Miss Philippians who is still in shock.

The crowd was in shock and so was everyone else watching at home. A worldwide event did not go as planned because of a misunderstanding.

The following day people were talking about it and it was all over social media. Some students in the school were also talking about it and saying “I feel bad for Miss Colombia.” Others were saying it was all done for the attention to get more views for the Miss Universe contests.
