What is the charity you chose to represent?
Morgan’s Message. Morgan’s Message is a nonprofit that focuses on breaking the stigma surrounding the mental health of student athletes. I chose this charity because as an athlete I have struggled with my mental health but have been fortunate enough to have a strong support system at home. I am aware that that is not the case for everyone, which is why I am founding the Morgan’s Message club within the high school to create that environment and to provide support for all athletes no matter their sport or skill level.
Why do you best represent Washington Township?
Because of my amount of involvement in the school community. I have played five different sports during my time here, I am a CLACO board member, vice president of FBLA, on the board for Mu Alpha Theta, and am involved in four different forms of NHS. I’ve tried out clubs that I am no longer a part of and tried some that have become a key part of my time in high school. I believe that the abundance of opportunities, clubs, and activities that Township offers is what makes us so special. We are able to discover ourselves and have the ability to try new things.

What has been the best part about being on the Homecoming Court?
Being able to make so many new friends with the girls in the court and their escorts. At times it was stressful, but we all got closer knowing we all had the Court experience together. All of the dance practices and the events like the Fourth of July parade with all the girls have been some of the best times I’ve had in high school!
