What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?
Even though everyone says it, I would say to be your true self. These four years of high school go by so incredibly fast, and you want to make sure you enjoy every bit of it. As someone who did not get involved early on, I felt like I wished I joined some things before it was too late. Make new friends, join, and try new things. This is the best time to do it.
What are your plans and goals for after high school?
Attend Rowan for Early Childhood Education. I have always loved working with kids and teaching them. Teaching has been my calling for such a long time. I would also like to have a minor in business to help me eventually open a business of my own that involves interactive play for young children.
What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?
Ms. Lopresti. I met Ms. Lopresti last year when she was my teacher for Child Development. She was always so positive and would always make sure we had what we needed for lessons, and more. She guided me when I needed it and would always tell me I was doing great. Being able to observe her in our class allowed me to see what being a good teacher is like, and why I would love to become a teacher one day.
Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?
My mom. From a young age I have been attached to my mom’s hip, doing, and helping her with whatever she needs. With doing so, I was able to see how hard of a worker she is. My mom will always make sure my sister and I have what we need and want, even if that means working a little more some days. I honestly do not know where I would be without my mom. She is one of my best friends, and I hope one day that I am half the woman/mom she is.

What has been the best part about being on the Homecoming Court?
The bond the girls and I have created. We were extra lucky this year to be announced early which gave us more time to get to know each other, especially the people I never knew before. This is such an amazing experience, and I could not have asked for a better group of girls to do it with.
