What is the charity you chose to represent?
The Food Bank of South Jersey. I have worked at local food banks the past few summers and have seen firsthand the people affected by lack of food. The work these food banks and pantries do to help the recipients is truly amazing. One meal at a time, the Food Bank of South Jersey is fighting against hunger in our local communities.
Why do you best represent WTHS?
I embody all things WTHS. I played football, I am active in several clubs and organizations, and I take pride in my academics. I am always pushing myself and others to be the best versions of themselves.
What is your favorite pick-up line?
“Are you a Wi-Fi signal? Because I’m feeling a strong connection.” Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked for me yet.
If you could pick anyone beside yourself to win, who would it be?
I would love it if all the guys won, but if I had to choose just one winner, I’d choose Tommy. He’s been a close friend since middle school, and we made lots of memories together.
Favorite music artist:
Drake. I’ve been listening to him for years, and I have so many of his songs in my playlists. I feel he is a very versatile musician, and I enjoy listening to him.
What TV show/movie character are you most like?
I can relate to Obi-Wan Kenobi from Star Wars. I really liked him in all of the movies, and we have similar traits such as responsibility, selflessness, and respect.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring with you?
An axe to cut wood and protect myself, a fishing rod to get food, and a hammock to relax.
What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?
Coach Schatzman, my football coach. On the field, in the weight room, or life in general, Coach Schatz has taught me many valuable lessons. Whether it be technique, work ethic, or pushing myself, Coach was always trying to better me, my teammates, and the program. I am grateful to have Coach Schatz in my life.
What is your go-to Wawa order?
I don’t go to Wawa too often, but when I do, I usually customize a breaded chicken hoagie.
What has been your most embarrassing moment at WTHS?
Some of my football buddies posted old and embarrassing photos of me on the student section Instagram page before gamedays. Looking back at it, they were funny, but at the time I was super embarrassed.
What has been one of the most memorable aspects of your high school experience?
Playing football. I started playing freshman year and was able to earn a spot on Varsity both my junior and senior years. I have learned so much from this sport and have made so many lifelong friends. Nothing beats running out onto the field on a Friday night with packed stands.
What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?
Put yourself out there. Do things that are out of your comfort zone. It will make your high school experience and life so much better. When you look back on your high school years, you don’t want to regret missing out on things.
What are your plans and goals for after high school?
Attend a four year college, majoring in finance. After I graduate, I want to get a job that I will love, but also make a lot of money.
What is something about you most people do not know?
I have a fatal peanut and tree-nut allergy. I am deathly allergic to them, so I always have my epi-pen on me.
Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?
My parents because they have instilled many important values and traits in me. I watch how hard they work every day, and I push myself to work as hard as them. They have always been the people I look up to and aspire to be, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for me.
What has been the best part about being on Mr. WT?
The connections I have been making with the other guys. I am so much closer with all of them, and it has just been such a fun experience. I laugh so hard at every practice, and I am looking forward to all the activities planned leading up to the show.
