What is the charity you chose to represent?
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network because my grandfather passed away in August of 2019 of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. It’s so important to find a way to improve the longevity of individuals with this disease because those diagnosed with it are given practically no time left to live.
Why do you best represent WTHS?
Throughout my time in high school I have tried to be involved in so many different activities that can make me a well-rounded student, but also to allow me to make the most meaningful connections with people and enjoy my time at WTHS.
What is your favorite pick-up line?
Are you from Tennessee, cause you’re the only 10 I see.
If you could pick anyone beside yourself to win, who would it be?
My best friends, Eddie and Ryan. Both of them have worked so hard throughout high school to be involved, dedicated students, but I have watched them both mature into such kindhearted and amazing humans. I’m so happy to know both of them and to have them in my life.
Favorite music artist:
Either Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridges, or Lizzy McAlpine
What TV show/movie character are you most like?
I really relate to Ralph from Wreck it Ralph. He is temperamental, and a bit reckless, but he truly cares for the people around him and stands beside the people he loves no matter the struggle.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring with you?
Some type of musical instrument, a journal, and water
What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?
It’s so hard to pick just one because so many of the staff members have been so influential on my life. I have to say Mr. Holmes, Mrs. Barretta, and Mrs. Scardino-Welch have had the biggest impact on me. Mr. Holmes is the reason why I’m going to pursue chemistry in my future, Mrs. Barretta has made me really find a reason to love learning again, and Mrs. Scardino-Welch has taught me how to be a free-thinker and to always question the world around me.
What is your go-to Wawa order?
Chicken strips, spicy nacho doritos, & a pink lemonade
What has been your most embarrassing moment at WTHS?
I would say my most embarrassing moment was when Junior/Senior Class Council did a Pitbull themed spirit parade dance and I had to twerk and do a split in a fake mustache and a bald cap.
What has been one of the most memorable aspects of your high school experience?
The WTHS Drama Club has been by far my most memorable aspect of my high school experience. The directors I have had, and the cast mates I have worked with, have changed my life forever, and I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to be the President of this program and lead such a resilient and strong group of people this year.
What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?
The four years you have at WTHS are truly up to you to dictate how you will make your journey for yourself. It’s so important that you get involved and get good grades, but also be kind and always try and be a good person because you can have such an impact on someone no matter how small you think your actions may be.
What are your plans and goals for after high school?
In the fall I will be attending Penn State, getting a degree in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Vocal Studies.
What is something about you most people do not know?
I used to have multiple fan accounts on Instagram for video games and TV shows when I was younger, and I actually had hundreds of followers.
Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?
Definitely my mother Jennifer. She is my rock always and no matter what she will always accept me for my good and bad and will always have my best interest at heart. She is the hardest worker I know, and she has always taught me to shoot for the stars and to chase my dreams no matter how big.
What has been the best part about being on Mr. WT?
I have always been familiar with all the eleven other guys, some more than others, but being on Mr. WT has made me really get to know them, and I really can call all of them my friends now.
