What is the charity you chose to represent?
Pretty Brown Girl. It caters to younger Black and Brown Girls’ well-being, as there is a misconception that these girls are masculine or aggressive, and therefore they are not seen as just regular girls. This year alone I saw many new beautiful girls who look like me, and they are my biggest supporters so far in this race. I wanted to show them and younger girls that you have a seat at the table, because one day they will be in my shoes.
Why do you best represent Washington Township?
I brought my personable aspect to Township, so my best representation would be being able to pull people out their comfort zones. I like being welcoming.
What is your favorite pick-up line?
“Are you Abraham? Because when are we Lincoln.”
If you could pick anyone besides yourself to win, who would it be?
Vee Hartley. Ever since I’ve known her she has been the most wholesome person ever. Filled with so much grace and wisdom. She can boost your optimistic and peaceful side. I also root for everyone else as well, the girls on this court are bosses.

What TV show/movie character are you most like?
Raven Baxter off That’s so Raven. I think I have her charisma and sass. She’s so vibrant and confident. I’ve also gotten this comparison a lot.

If you could give yourself one superpower, what would it be?
Telekinesis. It’s so cool and I’d be so powerful. It’s like being an avatar or a fairy. Very magical.

What are your plans and goals for after high school?
This is an anxiety inducing question! But, right now I do want to attend college and one day be iconic, wealthy, and inspirational. My life’s mission is to be that girl, and to keep being genuine.
What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?
This always changes when I’m asked because I have a lot, but my counselor Mr. Lemons. Ever since he met me, he has supported me and everything I do. The past two years have been a lot on me, and he sees me still applying pressure. One of my biggest supporters. I know I stress him out.
Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?
My aunt Candace. I look up to her as an older sister because I never had one. She teaches me a lot about life and presenting yourself from within. A wise soul. I also take all her stuff. I’m really her broke best friend.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Gold Jewelry, I feel naked without any on and gold compliments my skin and its undertones. I love gold.
What is something about you that most people do not know?
I own a small lipgloss business called “SpiceWittheeIce” which one day will be a global fashion empire.

If you had to give a 20-minute presentation on a topic of your choosing, what would it be?
Why everyone should be a Nicki Minaj fan. It’s really logical especially considering she is an amazing rapper. Especially in the rap music that’s out today, she still has longevity and her own sound. Talent over repetition. I mean who had Eminem, Lil Wayne and Kanye West on their debut album?
What has been the best part about being on the Homecoming Court?
Seeing how much people you didn’t think before are vouching for you. I and the rest of the girls have lots of unconditional support and I love to see people win. Support builds into success!
