On Sunday, February 21st, the Philadelphia Flyers played in the 2021 NHL Outdoor Series in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. They suffered a devastating loss to the Boston Bruins, 7-3.

Many of the Flyers key players, including captain Claude Giroux and forward Oskar Lindblom, were out during Sunday’s game due to COVID-19. This caused the team to struggle against the Bruins, who they are now 0-4-1 against.

Starting goalie Carter Hart saved 17 shots but allowed 6 of the 7 goals by the Bruins. Towards the end of the game, Brian Elliot took over and had 11 saves but also allowed the final goal. Flyers goals were scored by Sean Couturier, James van Riemsdyk, and Joel Farabee.

After this loss, the Flyers stand at 8-4-3, and they are in 5th place in the East Division. They are right behind the New York Islanders. The Flyers are currently on a two game losing streak, but fans are hopeful that with the return of star players, the Flyers will be back in the game again.
