What is the charity you chose to represent?
The “Soraya, Sanaa, and Kari Fund.” I chose to represent this to help my three friends, Soraya, Sanaa, and Kari, pay off any expenses they need due to a car accident they were involved in. I wanted to help in any way I can and when I was presented with this opportunity, I took it.
Why do you best represent WTHS?
I’m a very positive and encouraging role model. Being kind in general is one of the qualities that I best represent and that’s what I know TWP is all about.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would want to have a better memory so I can actually pass my tests.
What advice would you give to underclassmen about high school? About life?
Please just slow down. I know you’re excited to graduate and move on with life, but just breathe. I thought it was a lie when everyone would say “High school goes by fast,” but it wasn’t. Enjoy every little moment, every football game, every lunch period, and every conversation you have in the hallways with your friends. Know that life isn’t easy. It has its ups and downs but know that a bad day isn’t a bad life. Know that even though God’s plan may not make sense right now, it’s for the better and you just have to trust him.
What are your plans and goals for after high school?
I plan to attend either Johns Hopkins University or Xavier University. I plan to major in molecular and cellular biology and minor in pre-med. Eventually I want to become a pathologist and work for the CDC in helping find cures for various diseases.
What teacher or faculty member has made the biggest impact on your high school career?
Mr. Spencer. I say this because he’s taught me to own up to my mistakes and not be afraid to make them. He’s supported me since freshman year in everything that I do. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher.
Who in your life has had the biggest influence on you?
My mom has been the biggest influence on me. I say this because she is the strongest woman I’ve ever seen. She’s been strong for my family even in the roughest times. She loves everyone with her full heart and always manages to look on the bright side of things, even when it’s hard to. There’s always a smile on her face following her contagious laugh, which always brightens a room. She’s led me to Christ and showed me that it’s okay to not be okay, which I believe everyone should know.
What is one thing you cannot live without?
Music, it’s the one thing that can make me happy and sad simultaneously.

That I have two brothers currently enlisted in the army and that I play the guitar, trumpet, keyboard, and I can sing.

Making friends and getting to know all of the other girls on the court. I’m so blessed and honored to get to share this experience with them.
