Though Felix Navarro lives his life in a wheelchair, he is not different from all the other students as Washington Township High School. He has some trouble getting around this enormous school and he has got lost a couple times on his first days back but he said his favorite part about high school is that all the people are very nice and caring. Another thing he likes about high school are the clubs, especially Peer Outreach. He likes to write and read, but he is not interested in sports. Another thing he doesn’t like about high school is how early we must wake up, Felix wakes up at 5:30 in the morning and he said it’s not fun.

Felix’s house is very crowded, he lives with 6 other people not counting himself. His mom, his brother Brendon he is 33 years old, his sister Rayma and she is 26 years old. He also lives with his nieces one is 11 years old and the other is 2 years old, he said she is very cute. He also has a nephew and he is 6 years old. Felix loves to spend time with his nieces and nephews and he always has a fun time with them.

One class Felix is looking forward to this year is his journalism class because he wanted to be in creative writing which is something he likes to do most of the time. His favorite thing to write about is paranormal romance, much like his favorite show, The Vampire Diaries.

“I love the aspect of paranormal romance, and I think that is why I really enjoy the show The Vampire Diaries.” Felix said. His favorite subject in school is English so everything he likes really ties together. He really enjoys creative writing also because he can express himself in any way he wants and no one will judge him.

“I just like the way you can express yourself through a story,” said Felix. Another factor that plays a role in his love for writing is that he likes to read, he really enjoys The Percy Jackson book series which are very interesting books.

Felix is very good with computers and enjoys our school ones, on the computer he likes to watch a lot of videos on YouTube videos, he watches very interesting videos and he also listens to music.

“I like to also go on YouTube and listen to alternative indie music” Felix said. He listens to it all the time because it is very calming and it relieves his stress.

I asked Felix if there was a person in his life that changed his life for the better and he said there was nurse he had years ago, he said she was very fun to be around. She was very energetic and fun to be with and she was so nice to him. If Felix could go anywhere in the world right now, he would go to Paris because he just always wanted to go there. His favorite place to vacation is Puerto Rico.

“I love to be in the sun,” Felix said.
