Girls’ basketball dribbling to success

Jules Becht '20, Staff Editor

How’s the season going? – The season is going well, although we are dealing with a couple of injuries. We are currently 8-4.

What are the team’s goals for the season? – Our goals are to improve each game as a team and as individual players, and ultimately win a state championship.

Who are your standout players? – One of our best players is Kiley Gelston ’17. She is our biggest scoring threat. Another important player is Julia Marino ’20 because she is a great point guard who is relaxed and makes smart plays.

What is the key to the team’s success? – The key to our success is our communication skills. One of the best talkers is Tash Munro ’19, although she is currently out with a hip fracture. It’s up to the rest of the team to successfully communicate in order to win.

What was your biggest win? – Our biggest win would have to be when we played Cherry Hill East. We went into four overtimes and ended up winning by one point.
